Vetronix/GM ECU Reprogramming Capability

Service Programming System “Pass-Thru”

Aftermarket Service Providers will now have access to GM ECU Reprogramming capability through Vetronix Corporation. Under a license agreement with General Motors, Vetronix is now offering GM ECU reprogramming products to the general Aftermarket.

The reprogramming is accomplished via a new process called the “Pass-Thru” method. GM ECU Reprogramming capability from Vetronix supports reprogramming of all FLASH-Type control modules on GM vehicles for model years 1993-present. (with one exception - the Cadillac Catera, rebadged Opel vehicle)

System Requirements

In order to perform reprogramming of the on-board ECU, a service technician needs the following items.

  1. A Vetronix Mastertech with OBDII hardware capability.
  2. A Personal Computer located in the Service Bay (such as the Vetronix Service Bay Workstation).
  3. An ECU Reprogramming Kit from Vetronix which includes:
    • A Program Card with Reprogramming software
    • A CD from GM with the latest Calibration files (actually a CD subscription)

The technician connects the Mastertech to the vehicle's DLC and to the service bay PC, then initiates the programming sequence from the PC. It's that easy, and it's all Authentic GM information - and it's available from Vetronix through Vetronix Sales Corporation to the US Aftermarket.
