Our charter is to create innovative products by leveraging Vetronix's industry leading vehicle interface technology along with wireless solutions. The activities of the Vetronix In-Vehicle Products Group fall into two categories: Fleet Management telemetry products, and AutoPC applications.

Fleet Management

Vetronix Corporation is a leader in the application of technology to automotive fleet management. Our WirelessRoad telemetry product enables fleet managers to monitor their vehicles in the field. WirelessRoad uses wireless communications technology to provide information such as GPS location, vehicle speed, odometer, fuel level, airbag deployment, vehicle diagnostic status, and much more! In other words, WirelessRoad reports on where the vehicle is and what the vehicle is doing. And therein lies the power of WirelessRoad!

This end-to-end solution provides sophisticated capabilities not supported by today's Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) telematics systems, enabling automotive fleet managers to remotely monitor and control the operations of their fleet using advanced wireless technology and the Internet.

AutoPC applications

Welcome to the exciting world of the Auto PC, the first in-dash personal assistant! Powered by Microsoft Windows CE, the Auto PC is a multi-function, open computing platform that delivers high-end audio, information and communication functions using voice control.

We are an original Microsoft Auto PC Launch Partner and were responsible for developing technology to interface the Auto PC to the vehicle's on-board computer system. Partnered with Microsoft, Vetronix wrote the vehicle interface API for the Windows Auto PC operating system. Our first product for the Auto PC, CarPort, shipped in November 1999. At the 2000 International Consumer Electronics Show, Vetronix unveiled VIP, the first Internet access system for the Auto PC.

Vehicle Internet Port (VIP) - “Internet Access System for Auto PC”

The innovative VIP Internet Access System allows you to catch up with your e-mail and listen to aurally dictated web content whilst on the move. The system includes wireless transceiver hardware to connect you via digital cellular networks to our secure system gateway wherever you are.
