Unlike today's common AVL systems, WirelessRoad features a robust vehicle interface that connects directly with the on-board electronics, enabling it to access a wide range of vehicle operating data such as vehicle location, odometer, fuel level, oil pressure, airbag deployment, and diagnostic trouble codes.

The vehicle data is then sent wirelessly to the WirelessRoad Operation Console (WROC) where the information can be used to generate mileage reports, locate a vehicle, provide crash notification, monitor driving habits, perform remote diagnostics and create warnings for abnormal vehicle conditions.

Access and track odometer readings remotely. Operations that are odometer-dependent can be carried out more efficiently and accurately.

Reduce vehicle downtime. Monitor diagnostic information as well as historical usage data. Only vehicles that have diagnostic trouble codes, abnormal vehicle conditions or meet maintenance requirements will need to be taken out of service.

Increase vehicle security and theft recovery. Locate and remotely disable stolen vehicles, as well as control door locks and alarm systems.
